how do i choose my location?

Archive Full Session — Every location is chosen with intention. During your Design Consult, I’ll recommend settings that complement your family’s personality, wardrobe, and vision for how you’d like to remember this season.

Keepsake Mini Session — Minis are only held seasonally at pre-selected locations on select dates.

What should we wear?

Light, neutral tones and simple textures photograph beautifully. My session guide includes a step-by-step on how to put together camera-ready outfits, my recommended stores to shop at and inspiration for bringing it all together.

What if I don’t know how to pose in front of the camera?

Most of my clients say this — and then end up having so much fun. I’ll give just enough guidance to keep things natural and connected while letting real moments shine through.

What if it rains?

Archive Full Session — We can reschedule if needed. I’ll keep an eye on the forecast and work with you to find the next best time if needed — life happens, and we’ll roll with it.

Keepsake Mini Session — You will have the option of switching to another available mini date or credit toward a future session.

What happens before my session?

Every Archive Full Session begins with a Design Consult where we’ll talk through your vision, location, wardrobe, and how you’d love to enjoy your photographs. Whether you’re dreaming of an album, framed artwork, or matted prints, we’ll plan with intention from the start.

What time of day is best for a session?

Golden hour (about 1–2 hours before sunset) offers the most flattering light, but if that doesn’t work for your kids’ schedules, we can find a shaded morning location too.

WHAT IF MY KIDS DON'T COOPERATE??

I take a very flexible, play-based approach with kids. We follow their pace, keep things fun and lean into whatever they're feeling. Some of the most beautiful images come from the unplanned moments.

should we bring snacks or toys?

If your little one has a favorite non-messy snack or comfort item, feel free to bring it along. Just avoid anything too colorful or sticky. A small treat can be a great reward at the end!

can extended family join?

Archive Full Session — Absolutely. Grandparents and other loved ones are welcome. Archive Sessions are designed for immediate families and small extended families. If you’re planning a larger multi-generational gathering, let me know when inquiring and I’ll recommend the best approach based on your group size and goals.

Keepsake Mini Session — Participation is limited to up to 6 people.

can pets join?

We love pets — they’re part of the family too! Not all locations are pet-friendly, so let us know ahead of time and we’ll help choose a spot where your furry friend is welcome.

What types of MOMENTS do you capture?

A mix of connection, play, and little details. Think holding hands, twirls, cuddles, giggles, and those in-between moments that show your family’s real connection.

How do I coordinate outfits for the whole family?

Keep it simple and cohesive with soft neutrals and textures. Avoid bright colors, bold logos, or matching too much. I’ll send you a detailed Session Guide to make it easy! My guide includes a step-by-step on how to put together camera-ready outfits, recommended stores to shop at and inspiration for bringing it all together.

When should I schedule maternity photos?

I recommend having photos taken between 28 and 36 weeks when your bump is showing beautifully and you’re still comfortable.

What’s the best age for newborn photos?

The first two weeks are great for sleepy, cozy shots. But sessions up to 6 weeks still capture so much magic — like eye contact and little smiles.

Can I include personal items (ultrasound, baby shoes, etc.)?

Of course! Meaningful items like ultrasounds, baby shoes, or heirlooms can add a sweet personal touch. Let me know ahead of time so I can plan how to incorporate them naturally.

WHERE DO NEWBORN SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?

Sessions can happen in the comfort of your home or outdoors if the weather allows. I’ll work with you to choose a cozy setting with beautiful light and a relaxed pace.

Can my partner and kids be in the photos too?

Absolutely — I love capturing the whole family’s excitement. Whether it’s your first baby or your fourth, everyone is welcome to join in..

What if my baby is fussy during the session?

No stress — I follow baby’s lead and allow time for feeding, cuddles, and breaks. We go at a pace that’s comfortable for you.

What happens after the session?

After your session, we’ll meet for your Gallery Reveal. Together, we’ll view your photographs, choose your favorites, and design artwork that fits your home and family.

What types of artwork do you offer?

I offer heirloom albums, framed wall art, gallery walls, and matted prints designed to become part of your everyday life.

Why does the Archive Session focus on artwork?

Photographs are most meaningful when they become part of everyday life. That’s why the Archive Session is designed around creating heirloom artwork for your home rather than delivering digital files alone.

The best part? Every artwork collection includes the matching digital files, so you’ll never have to choose between the two.

How much should I expect to invest?

The experience begins with a $200 session fee. Artwork collections begin at $500, with most families investing in a combination of matted prints, framed wall art, and albums.

Can you help me decide what to order?

Absolutely. One of the biggest benefits of the Archive Session is that you don’t have to navigate those decisions alone. I’ll guide you through selecting images, artwork sizes, frame styles, and display options that fit your home.

How much will you retouch the photos??

Every image is carefully edited in my signature style, including color correction, skin tone adjustments, and the removal of small distractions.

For full Archive Sessions, the photographs you select for artwork receive additional master retouching to ensure they look their absolute best in print. My goal is never to change how you look, but to create timeless artwork that celebrates your family exactly as you are.
